IU’s “You & I” is earning tremendous popularity and ranking no.1 on social music chart as well as real-time chart.
According to the music site Monkey3, IU’s “You & I” is ranking no. 1 on its social music chart which ranks songs by calculating statistics of netizens’ preference.
“You & I” is placed at the top of the real-time chart as well, and IU’s other songs such as “Secret,” “Star-seeking Child,” and “Wisdom Tooth” are also ranked at high rankings.
The director of music enterprise department of Monkey 3 Lee Jung Kyu says, “As soon as IU’s second album was released at the midnight of November 29, all of her songs spread on the Internet rapidly and are now placed in high rankings on social and real-time charts. This confirms IU’s ‘power.’ Particularly, ‘You & I’ is ranking no.1 on the social music chart since so many people love the song.”
IU released the teaser of “You & I” through SBS’s Inkigayo on the 27th of November and Melon.com.

Limited special edition of IU’s 2nd album is released 0

 

IU is releasing her second album along with a special edition that contains stories about her album work.
Released in 15,000 of limited edition, this special edition includes a story book about the whole work process for IU’s second album, which will be released on November 29.

In the story book, special photos of IU in the styles that she hasn’t shown off until now and sincere interviews with the staffs who participated in her second album are included.

Especially, IU’s drawing to describe the songs in her album in her own sensibility plus an interview with IU about her own song made for her fans can also be seen in the story book.

Loen Entertainment, IU’s agency, says, “This special edition is expected to be a special gift to know more about IU’s second album into which she put a lot of efforts.”

Jo Kwon, Sulli, Kikwang step down as ‘Inkigayo’ MCs 0

Over the past months, the 4 MCs for SBS‘s ‘Inkigayo‘ – IU, Sulli, Kikwang, and Jo Kwon - have been doing a fine job carrying on the weekly music show broadcast. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and the popular hosts – save for IU – took their last bow as MCs on the latest episode of ‘Inkigayo’.
“I debuted through the SBS auditions, placed first on ‘Inkigayo’, and now I thank you for allowing me to have the honor of being an MC,” 2AM‘s Jo Kwon said.
“I thank the producers of ‘Inkigayo’,” f(x)‘s Sulli continued. “Please look forward to our activities in Japan.”
Although the trio will be leaving the show, that does not mean IU will have to carry the burden alone; KARA‘s Nicole and Goo Hara have already been selected as the new MCs and will carry on their duties starting next week. IU will continue her MC duties along with her expected comeback later this month.

Cho Young Chul, a producer from Loen Entertainment, tweeted, “Articles containing un-confirmed information keep coming out. Ji Eun is still working hard on recording. I think the album will be released towards the end of November. I expect this album to be a great one that will show its value, for it’s been in the making for a long time. Please wait a little longer.”

IU wears her hair in a short bob — How could be more adorable than you? 0

At 9:00 p.m.on September 26, IU posted photos with the comment: “Be ready to be surprised~!”
She wrote, “Ta-da! I cut my hair close impulsively. I had to get a scolding for that. But…it goes well with such a beautiful season, doesn’t it? I had my hair bobbed for a long time.”
