[News] CNBLUE and FTISLAND Might Not Attend Year-End Award Ceremonies 0

It was recently reported that there is a high possibility that CNBLUE and FT Island will be absent from domestic end of the year music award ceremonies due to other obligations outside of the country.
On November 19th, FNC Music (the label company responsible for both groups) revealed, “Due to the Asia Tour and packed foreign schedules, the possibility of CNBLUE and FT Island attending domestic end of the year ceremonies has weakened.”

They continued, “It’s become impossible for them to attend the ‘2011 Melon Awards‘ and ‘2011 MAMA’.  We can’t guarantee the other ceremonies as well.”
According to the agency, FT Island will be busy holding concerts in Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand in addition to their domestic and Japanese Arena concerts.  If this isn’t enough, the boys will also be releasing their new Japanese single, ‘Distance‘ on the 30th and will back it up with a long series of promotional activities.

Unsurprisingly, CNBLUE will also have their hands full as they are in plans to hold an Asia Tour across Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Singapore.  To top it all off, the boys are scheduled to hold a nationwide tour in Japan starting in February of next year!

Regarding this matter, FNC Music stated, “Due to the packed schedules of both teams, it’s tough to even step foot in Korea.  In CN Blue’s case, they have schedules in more than 5 countries starting in 2 months.  We don’t even have a week to stay in Korea.  This goes the same for FT Island as well.  We really wanted to attend the ceremonies, but it’s not easy changing the schedules that were made long ago.”

[Scans|Trans] PATI PATI – CNBLUE members are what kind of persons? 0

all01 cnbjh
With CNBLUE’s major debut in Japan looming around the corner, much attention is on the group regardless from fans or media. The boys are featured on the cover of the Novmber issue of Japanese magazine PATI PATI, which they have also appeared on in their early days.
As there are several pages and they are still being translated, here’s a part of the scans and translations. Enjoy! (You’ll have a good laugh, haha!)

What kind of person is YongHwa?
CNBLUE’s leader, YongHwa. From what the members say when discussing about him, he appropriately conveys his leadership as a leader to lead the band! (what a mouthful XD)
MinHyuk: YongHwa hyung is the oldest. I think it’s like being the big brother in a group. A very trust-worthy and reliable existence.
JongHyun: His voice is also superb, and has lots of passion for music.
JungShin: It’s like an existence to coordinate CNBLUE….. (in Japanese) He’s CNBLUE’s leader!
MinHyuk: Yeah, an existence that CNBLUE cannot do without…
JungShin: (interrupted MinHyuk) but actually, I’m the real leader (everybody burst into laughter) Sorry, that’s a joke!
What kind of person is JongHyun?
During this interview and photography, JongHyun who excitedly discussed his favourite Japanese bands while reading the latest Pati magazine, left a deep impression on me. He who emits an aura about his immense love for rock, what is his role in CNBLUE?
YongHwa: JongHyun is very persistent in music and truly likes guitar from the bottom his heart…. I think it is because of him that everybody can see CNBLUE’s songs being unleashed to higher heights through live performances. And, he often takes good care of the younger brothers when I’m not around.
JongHyun: That’s right (laugh).
YongHwa: (in Japanese) Kids! Because JungShin and MinHyuk are still kids (laugh).
MinHyuk: Eh?! (laugh)
JungShin: (laugh) If YongHwa hyung is CNBLUE’s “leader”, then JongHyun hyung is “vice-leader”.
What kind of person is MinHyuk?
MinHyuk is born in 1991, the same as JungShin.
Though he is one of the youngest in CNBLUE, he is also trusted much by the members. Is there any member who feels a bit jealous because of the many compliments he gets, or is there not….. (laugh).
YongHwa: He always gives people a very steady and mature feeling. And, the drummer is the main core and heart of a band, one who has a shoulder the role of leading our music. And his face is really cute, and he seems to be very popular (laugh).
MinHyuk: Is this a compliment?
JongHyun: It is a compliment! (laugh)
YongHwa: And, because of his honest personality, he’s one who has to complete everything thoroughly.
JungShin: I’ve always felt that….is he the only one who has been overly complimented? (laugh)
YongHwa: (laugh) He has a huge desire to do many different kinds of music, he’s an existence who always helps us.
What kind of person is JungShin?
Being the same age as MinHyuk in CNBLUE, JungShin is the youngest in the band.
He is the indispensable mood-maker who helps the members sooth their emotions.
JongHyun: He’s spreads the “happy virus” (laugh). He’s always providing laughter.
MinHyuk: Although I’m the same age as JungShin, he saved me by undertaking the subject of humiliation and jest by the hyungs (laugh).
JongHyun: There is bound to be nervousness and stress during our promotion schedules, he’s the one who helps us get rid of the stress. For example, when everybody gets really tired in the studio, just looking at his face when he appears will put a wide smile on everybody’s face (laugh).
YongHwa: His existence is such a happy one, he’s an outstanding bassist who still practices very hard even into the middle of the night.
Many thanks to bluestar and kof1_ for the scans and Chinese translation respectively! (:

CN Blue’s new song is selected as the ending theme song of Super Natural 0

The new animation Super Natural, first episode of which aired on October 4 on Nihon TV, one of the three Japanese public broadcasters, chose CN Blue’s “In My Head” as the ending theme song of the animation.
”In My Head,” written and sung by CN Blue’s Jung Yong Hwa, is a rock song with fast beats, which has highly been praised for perfectly being balanced with the animation images and story.

In particular, the news that the song is written by Jung Yong Hwa raised far more interests among Japanese fans, who has developed his fame as a songwriter with his songs such as “Love Light” and “Banmal Song.”
In an interview, Jung said, “I became speechless as I heard the news that my song ‘In My Head’ would be used for the ending theme song of Super Natural. I promise that I will keep honing myself to be a better musician who only focuses on creating good songs.”

Meanwhile, CN Blue proved its high popularity as it attracted more than 17,000 people to its concert held at Yokohama Arena on September 25, an exceptional record marked by an indie band.

CNBLUE on Kan Fun Magazine “Arigatou! Last Indie Live Devoted to 15,000 People” 0

End of the First Act… Unforgettable
CNBLUE, who is a 4 member rock band, and will do major debut with “In My Head” under Warner Music Japan on October 19th, held their last indie live concert on September 25th at Yokohama Arena.

Between flying green laser beams, the four men appeared on round stage, which was at the center of the arena and surrounded by fans in 360-degrees. As soon as they appeared, the 15,000 people filling the seats burst into cheers and got excited.

During the opening tune “The Way part 2 ~Ready N Go~”, stage effects of explosive detonation made audience even more excited at once. Except for drummer Minhyuk (20), the other members, Yonghwa (22), Jonghyun (21), and Jungshin (20), moved around the stage and even to runways in four directions and sang enthusiastically dripping with perspiration.

At the first MC, Yonghwa said “Today’s live concert is our 2nd album “392” release live, and also our last live in indie activities. Feeling both distressing and glad, I have strange feelings, but I really appreciate many people coming. Today, during this stage, I’ll devote all of myself to you, everyone!
Next, surrounded by screams, Jonghyun said and shouted, “Only because it’s the last indie (concert), I’m ‘Kanmuryo’ (in the fullness of my heart), and my heart is fulfilled with various feelings that I cannot put into words. We’ll stake our lives here today! So, let’s play together with great enthusiasm, everyone!!

As their hit songs followed in a row, such as “I’m A Loner”, “Intuition” and “LOVE”, the arena became hot with excitement. Then they turned to play ballad songs and attracted the audience such various performances. They also delighted fans with the stage that turned around 360-degrees.

During encore, Yonghwa said “Because this is our last indie live concert today, we’ve prepared a surprising present.” and revealed their Japan major debut song “In My Head” for the first time live. Though audience was absolutely delighted and went crazy, they played only the first part (from the beginning to the first chorus).

At their comment “Today only up to this”, audience screamed “Ehh~?”, but they said “Please listen to the full-size song at our major debut event.” In fact, however, they prepared a bigger present afterward.
Winter tour in December is decided.” Minhyuk made a surprise announcement. Starting with Zepp Sendai on December 4th, they will hold concerts in Nagoya, Osaka, and at National Yoyogi Stadium 1st Gymnasium on 16th. With the immediate decision of tour, they will get off to a bright start as a big band.

Before the last song, Jonghyun said “We have come here thanks to you, everyone. We know more than anyone that we are still immature. But we’d like to share our future capability with everyone. Even after our major debut, this feeling will never change. Finish of CNBLUE’s first act, then start of the second act. Today we are the happiest to raise the curtain with everyone together.” Getting a lot of applause, they finished the concert with “a.ri.ga.tou”.

The Reason for CNBLUE’s Popularity – They are Musicians, Not Idols. 0

The reason for the raising attention to CNBLUE? Not because they are idols, but musicians!

“We’re not idols, but musicians!”

CNBLUE has not made their official major debut in Japan, they were known as an indie band. But, they already had an execellent reputation even before they debut officially (on October 19th). They started to get Japanese fans’ attention by Jung Yonghwa who was casted in “You’re Beautiful”.

On Sept 25, Tower Record Shibuya won’t hold the fans to buy CD even on early morning. CNBLUE last indie album “392” placed in visible place near the entrance floor. Tower Record’s staff commented about CNBLUE’s popularity “These days, CNBLUE gained very high popularity in Japan. Their album always sold well”. In Korean Magazine, CNBLUE is called “musicians“, a “group that compete with their own music”. Of course, they received a lot of appreciation for composing their own songs in their albums.

CNBLUE who was proven popular with around 20,000 fans even before their official debut, will leave their indie activities, and move on to mainstream stage under Japan’s large music label, Warner Music Japan.

On Sept 25 afternoon, CNBLUE held a concert at Yokohama Arena. “Actually we feel nervous to do major debut, but from now we’ll start anew so that we are able to show you our good performance”.
