Super Junior’s SS4 ticket sales set records in South Korea. 0

Ever since Super Junior announced their SS4, fans from all over the world are anticipating it and want to reserve the nearest seat at the concerts.
Recently, the ticket sale for the first concert in Seoul started at October 13th through an online website and, according to website, tickets sold out in just 8 minutes. Some vendors report that it only took 180 seconds.
UK’s ‘One Direction’ has the record of selling out concert tickets in just 10 seconds. Although Super Junior didn’t broke their record, as a South Korean band, it is a big achievement. Super Junior can be called the second band for highest ticket sale.
Moreover, Super Junior’s SS4 ‘World Tour’ will start from November 19th with concerts in Seoul.

The Musical, Hong Jae Yi confesses his feelings for Ko Eun Bi: “You need to be involved in a relationship” 0

In the episode of SBS’s drama series The Musical that aired on the 14th, Hong Jae Yi (played by Choi Daniel) shows his feelings for Ko Eun Bi (played by Ku Hye Sun) by advising her to get involved in a relationship.

Hong says, “Have you ever missed a boy as if you do for the musicals? You memorize lyrics for the musical, but you don’t remember people’s faces. I know that you have a passionate heart for musicals, but you also need to have courage to be in a relationship if you want to live a life of an actress. The relationship which makes you feel that you have the whole world or you are going to die just because of the guy.”

To his friend, Hong says that he simply gave advices over acting, but his friends points out that it looked funny as if a middle school boy trying to get an elementary school girl’s heart.

In the episode, Eun Bi and Jae Yi are seen enjoying their date at the zoo. It is still questioning whether their relationship would improve as the series continues.

Super Junior’s Kim Kibum explained the recently arisen suspicion that he has done facial plastic surgery.
Kim Kibum said on his Twitter on the 15th, “how did double-eyelid surgery come up as an issue? I just put heavy makeup on because I had scratches near my eyes that I got from atopy. I don’t care about others, for people whom I love, I should explain that I didn’t do plastic surgery.”

Rainbow’s Jo Hyun Young talked about an episode happened to her when she was in Japan.

She said, “it was really hard for me to say hello to Japanese people because their voice tone is high,” while talking about episodes happened in Japan on KBS Secret.

Miss A in Singapore [Press Conference] 0

This being their third time in Singapore, Miss A is no stranger to this sunny island. Like angels dressed in their white stage outfits, the girls posed and had big smiles for the media. Although the press conference at Hard Rock Hotel Sentosa was held in the bright early morning, the girls were all fresh and bubbly!

If you are unfamiliar, the girls debuted in June 2010 under JYP Entertainment. With their unique signature choreography and hit songs like “Bad Girl Good Girl” and “Breathe”, the girls captured the hearts of many. A group that is well-versed in more than one language, it is no surprise that the press conference was conducted in a myriad of languages.
Chinese members Fei and Jia  felt at ease, being able to converse in Mandarin with the emcee. Min was speaking in perfect English and at times helping to explain to her members in korean. Suzy had a translator with her, as she was fluent only in Korean.

Nonetheless, Suzy tried her best to express some of her thoughts in Mandarin, definitely deserving a huge cookie reward! Min told the media how Fei and Jia have been coaching the other two in Mandarin. Not only that, they try to fit in extra classes into their already busy schedule! Jia teased Min and exposed her “mixed-translation” of Macdonalds which brought laughter in the room.

A prominent image that stands out in Miss A’s albums would be the pair of legs featured as the album covers. When asked to reveal the identity of those legs, Jia explained that the legs did not belong to any member. The legs are merely a signature trademark that they have adopted to represent their style.

When asked which member has the prettiest legs, Min earnestly said, “We all have different types of legs”, which got the room roaring with laughter. She went on to describe the traits of each members’ legs. Jia’s legs are long and thin, Min described her thighs as being “kind of big”, Fei’s are athletic, and finally Suzy’s are of the girly type.

When asked about their favorite tracks, Jia’s pick was “Mr Johnny”, simply because of the rap. She explained that it took her some time to fluently rap in English, and she was proud of the end-product. Min chose “Love Alone” which is sung in English as she felt it could bring them closer to international fans. Fei and Suzy picked out “One to Ten” and “Help Me” respectively.

Fei then shared their most memorable experience since the debut which was winning their first award as a new rookie group. Being recognized for their talents and efforts, only makes them want to strive and work harder.

Miss A were fully pumped for their first showcase concert and had no worries whatsoever. They were simply eager to meet with their fans and have a good time.

U-Kiss gives free promotion to Gangwon-do 0

U-Kiss was selected as a PR envoy for Gangwon-do and promoted the area for free.
On the 7th, U-Kiss recorded KBS’s Music Bank and went to Chuncheon. U-Kiss members wore aprons and sold rice cakes in hot sauce and  fried dishes. They also auctioned their belongings and held a guerrilla concert.

Even though Soohyun was sick, people would have never known because of his smile and hard work.
Pictures of U-Kiss members and governor Choi Moon Soon and the youngest member Dongho wearing a pink apron while cooking spicy and stir-fried chicken ribs were released online and drew a lot of attention.
After the event, U-Kiss made a great finish by tweeting they are eating chicken ribs in Chuncheon to promote the area.

Jang Keun Suk invests 3.5 billion won in the Japanese arena concert tour 0

Tree J Company, Jang’s agency, announced on October 14 that Jang Keun Suk set on the Japanese arena tour, entitled Jang Keun Suk Arena Tour – The Cri Show in Japan Always Close To You, starting from the October 20 concert in Nagoya before going to Osaka and Tokyo.  

When the tickets for the concerts went on sale in September, the 60,000 seats were all sold out in just five minutes. For this huge concert tour project, about 3.5 billion won has been invested in advanced stage setting and incidental expenses. To overcome the disadvantage of larger concert halls, he has insisted to change the places suitable for more intimate communication even with fans in the far-off seats.

In addition, the concert was designed to show the whole autobiographical story of his life through the serially arranged performances full of energetic vivacity.

Starting from “Let Me Cry,” which ranked top on the Oricon Chart, the concert program will cover a variety of music genres such as dance, ballad and even rock. What’s more, his newly released song that targets Chinese fans is planned to be revealed.

Tree J Company says, “Recently, Jang is so busily engaged because of the shooting of his new drama series Love Rain, and the release of his first EP album in China. Despite the hectic schedule, he also truly devotes himself to the Japanese arena concerts.”

Super Junior’s Kim Kibum made his first appearance on Deep Rooted Tree, showing the importance of his role in the drama.
On the 4th episode of Deep Rooted Tree aired on the 13th, King Sejong (played by Han Seok Gyu), leading new Chosun with Jiphyunjeon as the central part after Lee Bang Won (played by Baek Yoon Sik)’s death, was described.

Kim Kibum made his first appearnace on this episode as a young Jiphyunjeon scholar, Park Peng Nyun. He is one of Sejong’s secret society members and a quiet fundamentalist. He often appears with Seong Sam Moon (played by Hyun Woo) as his best friend although they always argue because of their different personalities.
Being afraid of the fact that Jiphyunjeon’s power was getting bigger, ministers called Jiphyunjeon scholars and asked them to compete for the issue of abolishing the Officer Accusation Prohibition Law. Park Peng Nyun and Seong Sam Moon appeared as important part of the scene and attracted the audience’s attention.

The Officer Accusation Prohibition Law is a law that prohibits citizens to sue their local officers, and the ministers insisted on keeping it for the reason of many possibilities of rebellion against constituted authority. However, Sejong ordered abolition of the law because he thought it was the only way to listen to his people, and Sejong and Jiphyunjeon scholars came up against the ministers, increasing the tension of the story.

Although Kim Kibum didn’t appear much on the day’s episode, he is expected to appear more from the next one since the episodes are going to be proceeded with stories of Sejong and Jiphyunjeon as the central part of this drama. Especially Kim Kibum attracted attention at the press conference by saying, “it is my first time to do a historical genre so it was hard for me to get used to the way of people speaking in the old days. I practiced really hard for two months only watching historical dramas,” showing his passion.

Meanwhile, on the day’s episode, Sejong was changed from Song Joong Ki to Han Seok Gyu and Chae Yoon from Chae Sang Woo and Yeo Jin Goo to Jang Hyuk. Shin Se Kyung as Soi, who just made her first appearance through the preview for the next episode, can be met from episode 5.
