Miss A in Singapore [Press Conference] 0

This being their third time in Singapore, Miss A is no stranger to this sunny island. Like angels dressed in their white stage outfits, the girls posed and had big smiles for the media. Although the press conference at Hard Rock Hotel Sentosa was held in the bright early morning, the girls were all fresh and bubbly!

If you are unfamiliar, the girls debuted in June 2010 under JYP Entertainment. With their unique signature choreography and hit songs like “Bad Girl Good Girl” and “Breathe”, the girls captured the hearts of many. A group that is well-versed in more than one language, it is no surprise that the press conference was conducted in a myriad of languages.
Chinese members Fei and Jia  felt at ease, being able to converse in Mandarin with the emcee. Min was speaking in perfect English and at times helping to explain to her members in korean. Suzy had a translator with her, as she was fluent only in Korean.

Nonetheless, Suzy tried her best to express some of her thoughts in Mandarin, definitely deserving a huge cookie reward! Min told the media how Fei and Jia have been coaching the other two in Mandarin. Not only that, they try to fit in extra classes into their already busy schedule! Jia teased Min and exposed her “mixed-translation” of Macdonalds which brought laughter in the room.

A prominent image that stands out in Miss A’s albums would be the pair of legs featured as the album covers. When asked to reveal the identity of those legs, Jia explained that the legs did not belong to any member. The legs are merely a signature trademark that they have adopted to represent their style.

When asked which member has the prettiest legs, Min earnestly said, “We all have different types of legs”, which got the room roaring with laughter. She went on to describe the traits of each members’ legs. Jia’s legs are long and thin, Min described her thighs as being “kind of big”, Fei’s are athletic, and finally Suzy’s are of the girly type.

When asked about their favorite tracks, Jia’s pick was “Mr Johnny”, simply because of the rap. She explained that it took her some time to fluently rap in English, and she was proud of the end-product. Min chose “Love Alone” which is sung in English as she felt it could bring them closer to international fans. Fei and Suzy picked out “One to Ten” and “Help Me” respectively.

Fei then shared their most memorable experience since the debut which was winning their first award as a new rookie group. Being recognized for their talents and efforts, only makes them want to strive and work harder.

Miss A were fully pumped for their first showcase concert and had no worries whatsoever. They were simply eager to meet with their fans and have a good time.

Miss A performs at Seoul Art College festival: Jia and Fei’s school 0

 

Miss A, recently released a special edition of their 1st regular album in Chinese countries to start their activities in overall Asia, is performing at Seoul Art College festival.
Miss A is performing at SAC festival, which is an annual festival of Seoul Art College, taking place in I Korea on the 18th at 6 pm. Especially since Miss A’s Chinese members Fei and Jia are majoring in dance at this college, it means more special to them.
The festival is planned for all students to show their talents, so the title of the festival is ‘SAC Convergence Star King.’
To celebrate this festival, Heo Gak, the winner of Mnet SuperstarK2, musical actor Lee Gun Myung, music department professor Ali, performance department professor Ryu Seung Ryong, Kim Yeon Woo (music department), BMK (music department), Kim Se Hwang (music department), and Jang So Young (musical performance department) are also participating in.
Seoul Art College’s 2011 SAC festival continues until the 19th, and there will also be diverse kinds of performances, SAC fashion beauty shows as graduation projects, and star’s auction opening as part of the festival.

miss A ranks first on Taiwanese charts 0

Girl group miss A’s first Taiwanese album was released on September 30. The album ranked first on several Taiwanese music charts.
miss A’s song “Good-bye Baby” ranked first on the biggest Taiwan music site Ezpeer’s music chart last week. Their song “A Class” also ranked first on the album chart. miss A ranked third on G-Music chart as well.
Besides the songs from their first Korean album, the album includes three songs, “Bad Girl Good Girl”, “Breathe”, and “Good-bye Baby”. And the Chinese versions of their song “Love Again” and the DVD of their music videos were added.
miss A’s agency said, “We think miss A will be loved by many fans in East Asia.”
miss A will be active in both Korea and China.

Girl group MissA‘s member Min recently celebrated the birthday of co-member Suzy with a photo of them together.

 As part of the 2011 campaign for the new interactive movie ‘Hello‘, a press conference was held earlier today featuring JYP Entertainment‘s very own 2PM & miss A. Now, the highlight for this interactive movie was uploaded on Touch Korea’s official YouTube channel.

“Hello” is an interactive movie created to spread awareness about Korea’s beautiful traditional culture. In the movie, the idols take a trip across Korea with fans and viewers to introduce the nation’s history and culture.
A representative from the Korea Tourism Organization stated, “With 2PM & miss A serving as the official spokespersons for ‘Hello’, international fans will get to see a more historical side of Korea, causing the Hallyu wave to grow even stronger. We plan on using various new strategies in the future to spread more information about Korea throughout the world, and we hope that it will continue to attract more overseas visitors.”

2PM and miss A are selected as honorary ambassadors for Korea Tourism 0

Idol groups 2PM and miss A were recently selected as PR envoys to Korea Tourism.
On the 27th, a spokesperson for Korea Tourism Organization confirmed they chose 2PM and miss A as their PR envoys. The two groups previously shot an interactive movie called Hello which is a part of Korean Tourism Organization’s interactive campaign ‘Touch Korea’.
In the movie, 2PM and miss A introduce Korean culture and history while visiting sights with viewers. The organization held a ‘Touch Your Dream’ contest to select two viewers. A Chinese and Taiwanese fan were selected and shot the movie with 2PM and miss A.
The spokesperson said, “The movie, 2PM and miss A shot together, will have new content which will draw a lot of attention from Asian countries.”
