Attending the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) for the first time, JYJ’s Park Yoochun was seen enjoying the night at Busan.
The 16th BIFF opened on 6 October , and Yoochun was seen near Busan’s Haewondae, eating with friends at a nearby restaurant, with the atmosphere for the film festival in full force. He was also joined by Ji Sung, who had just completed the drama “Protect the Boss,” and they had a good time together.

On 7 October, Yoochun together with his group members Junsu and Jaejoong, will be appearing at the Star Road event, but Yoochun arrived in Busan a day earlier than his members.
Yoochun, Junsu and Jaejoong will be joining the Star Road event, walking the red carpet and appearing as actors at their first BIFF.

The three members have already participated in dramas and musicals, and have now paved their way as actors, and that probably makes this event even more meaningful to them.

TVXQ Breaks Bon Jovi’s Record in Japan, Headlines Billboard KPOP Masters Concert 0

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
TVXQ (pronounced “Dong Bang Shin Ki”) is still making waves in the Japanese music industry. The male duo released its new album “Ton” on Sept. 28 and it promptly hit No. 1 on the Japan Oricon daily sales chart, a position they continue to hold.

In its first full week of sales, “Ton” sold over 250,000 records and secured the No. 1 sales ranking on the weekly sales chart as well. With this fete, TVXQ has become the overseas artist with the highest album sales in Japan during its first week of release. In fact, this K-pop boy band is only the second overseas artist to achieve album sales of more than 200,000 during its first week. The previous holder: Bon Jovi, who sold a little over 200,000 copies with its 2000 album, “Crash.”

TVXQ is also the top overseas artist with 9 weeks spent atop the Oricon weekly singles sales chart. This K-Pop group suffered a setback in 2009 when three of its original members jumped ship, however, the Japanese public’s continued support can be clearly seen through these recent album sales figures. TVXQ’s current members are Yunho and Changmin.

As one of the best loved faces of the K-Pop movement, TVXQ is set to headline Billboard’s first K-POP Masters Concert in Las Vegas, scheduled for Nov. 25. The show will be sponsored by the MGM Grand Garden Arena and will feature many of K-Pop’s brightest stars.

Huh Gak Reaches the Summit Again!
Huh Gak, the winner of season two of the Korean “American Idol”-like show called “Superstar K”, has attained the No. 1 position on the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100 weekly singles chart for the second consecutive week with “Hello,” the title song off his most recent EP. “Hello” is a medium-tempo ballad song about a breakup. Huh Gak’s vocal ability has increased substantially since he won “Superstar K,” and he puts it to great use in this track drawing out the sorrowful sentiment in the song’s listeners.

When asked about the secret behind his son’s success, Huh Gak replied, “Everyone has at once time experienced love and the ensuing separation. I believe the lyrics of this song draw on those cherished past memories lying dormant in my listeners. Whenever I perform this song, I try to immerse myself in the song and take my listeners with me.”

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
TVXQ and JYJ are both showcasing an undying popularity.

TVXQ’s new Japanese album ‘TONE’ sold over 100,000 copies on its release date of the 28th of September, the same date that JYJ released their first Korean album that sold out across the nation.
On the 29th, TVXQ’s agency SM Entertainment stated that TVXQ  topped the daily Oricon Album Charts by selling 105,484 copies of their new album ‘TONE’.

The agency stated, “There was a wide gap in sales between TVXQ’s album and other albums that were released on the same date, so we’re expecting good results from the weekly charts as well. With the album selling out in Japan’s biggest album stores as well, we’ve been receiving a lot of requests for additional orders.”

TVXQ are planning to run full steam ahead with promotions for their new album by appearing in FujiTV’s ‘Music Fair’ on the 1st of October, NHK’s ‘Music Japan’ and Nihon TV’s ‘Music Lovers’ on the 2nd, and FujiTV’s ‘SMAPxSMAP’ on the 3rd.

Meanwhile, JYJ are expected to kick up a storm in Korea as their album officially sold over 30,000 copies according to Hanteo Charts.

Album stores all over the country sold all of their stock of JYJ albums that weren’t pre-ordered. Also, special zones for JYJ’s comeback could be seen in various offline stores while a ‘JYJ only’ counter was set up in Gwanghwamun’s Hottracks, showing off their immense popularity.

A representative of the album stated, “There’s a scarcity of albums right now. All the albums that were printed on top of the 300,000 pre-ordered copies have been sold and the orders are piling up at an alarming rate.”
JYJ’s agency C-JeS Entertainment stated, “After the 300,000 pre-orders came in, we had the printing factory going at full force to print out the albums, but the initial set of 150,000 copies have sold out. We’re currently printing additional copies and we’re doing our best to restock stores across the nation by the 4th of October.”

JYJ stated, “We’re happy to see fans updating their Twitter accounts with excitement as they receive their albums,” and “We want to thank the fans who have stayed by our side and supported us and we will work hard to always provide great music to our fans.

(News) TVXQ Was Moved To Tears In Fan Meeting And Showed Their Newly Learnt Beijing Slang‏ 0

TVXQ’s “TVXQ! Asia Fan Party 2011 In Beijing” was held on 2nd of October, 7.30pm at Beijing Worker’s Gymnasium and this fan meet marks the premiere stage for Asian fans. That night, Jung Yunho and Shim Changmi took the stage with “Maximum”. In the midst of it, fan made videos touched Shim Changmin and Jung Yunho. They also learnt Beijing slang and used “Gei Li” (T/N: Be in supportive and do one’s best) and “You Mu You” (T/N: Cute version of “Isn’t it?”) to create sentences which created uproar within the fans. Jung Yunho and Shim Changmin also expressed that fans were considered as a member of TVXQ.

TVXQ performed their new and old songs, with fans creating the magnificent red ocean
It was a sold out night at Beijing Worker’s Gymnasium and was fully seated by 7pm. The only regret is that the fan meet ended on 9pm. The punctual appearances of Jung Yunho and Shim Changmin immediately set the fans screaming non-stop. The opening number was “Maximum” and both Jung Yunho and Shim Changmin appeared in white checkered suits. Jung Yunho who was dancing in a deep v-neck top was a bonus eye candy. The duo followed on with their best effort performing both new and old songs for the audiences, including “How Can I”, “Before You Go”, “The Way You Are”, “Mirotic”, “Rising Sun”, “Why (Keep Your Head Down)”.

The dedicated performances by Jung Yunho and Shim Changmin gained fans’ enormous support. The thousands of fans were armed with two red light sticks, painting the Worker’s Gymnasium in red ocean. Each time TVXQ did a handsome action, the red ocean will be waving and screaming away, in fact the whole fan meet was in screams.

Interesting Q & A about Chinese culture and showed their newly learnt Beijing slang
After the dances, Jung Yunho and Shim Changmin chatted with the host about Chinese culture. The host asked TVXQ if the official city flower for Beijing is chrysanthemum and if the human flow is 15million etc. Upon talking on whether Beijing slang is a dialect, the smarty Jung Yunho replied that he heard Beijing slang before and the “er” tone is very strong, thus it should be a dialect.

Jung Yunho followed on by showing off his newly learnt Beijing slang and expressed his feelings to his fans with “I am very happy today.” (T/N: He used the “er” tone for “today”.) He continued to understand another local slang and made a sentence with “Gei Li”, “Beijing fans are very supportive, Chinese fans are very supportive.” Changmin also shyly said, “I am handsome, isn’t it?” (T/N: He uses the “You Mu You”.) It gained the thunderous acknowledgement to his proclamation.

Jung Yunho revealed that he hope to visit China in the future for leisure and he ever visited the Great Wall of China for work. He even said that he watched “Hidden Dragon Crouching Tiger” before and thought the sceneries in it were beautiful and wish to visit there. He also hopes for the chance to meet fans in Beijing again and would like to know China more for his fans.

TVXQ was moved to tears by fans and said that fans were considered as a member of TVXQ.
TVXQ’s fans prepared a special gift for the duo and it was two fan made videos. In one of the video, the fan drew the manga herself and another fan produced a video titled, “He and his thumbs-up story”. After the two videos were played, many fans were crying and Shim Changmin was seen continuously wiping his tears in the corner of his eyes away. The host expressed that both of them had teary eyes now. Shim Changmin expressed that having such fans gave them to gain strength and confidence.

The organizer had collected questions from the fans previously and there was a fan who asked about the status of Chinese fans in TVXQ. Jung Yunho said that he always feel apologetic towards Chinese fans and that Chinese fans were as though a member of TVXQ. Jung Yunho self revealed that the present from Chinese fans that was the most special was a bottle of sorghum liquor. He tried a mouthful and felt that it was much stronger than Korean liquor.

(News) Kim Jaejoong "Able To Take The Newcomer Award?" 0

This year, the JYJ members have shone like a light through their solo activities. What was interesting in particular was the showdown between Park Yoochun's portrayal of the General Manager in [Miss Ripley] and Kim Jaejoong in [Protect the Boss]. "Senior actor" Park Yoochun has given "junior" Kim Jaejoong a generous number of points.

Park Yoochun said, "Firstly, it was a very interesting drama. During the times I had a schedule and couldn't watch it, my mum, aunt and cousin would watch it instead and they were completely addicted to [Protect the Boss]. Giving high praise with a grin, he said, "Although I'm not in a position to critique, when you think about how I was unknowingly being drawn into the drama, he did a splendid job portraying the character."

In response to Park Yoochun's praise, Kim Jaejoong said "Thank you, Senior" with a modest nod at the peaceful interview location. Thus, the talk naturally shifted to the topic of the "Newcomer Award".

Following Park Yoochun, who received the [Newcomer Actor Award] and [Netizen Award] during the [2010 KBS Drama Awards] and [2011 Seoul Drama Awards], there has been increasing interest in the possibility of Kim Jaejoong receiving a newcomer's award. Kim Junsu and Park Yoochun said, "It'll be good if he gets it" while Kim Jaejoong said shyly, "I'm not even thinking about it." Kim Jaejoong said, "I was able to become better because of Jisung. Everytime I saw 'Kim Jaejoong has improved'; this wouldn't have happened with Jisung. Everytime, even though he's busy studying his own character, at the same time he would study my character too and I really learnt a lot. Because I was able to match well with Jisung, it came through when watching through the TV."
