TVXQ and JYJ are both showcasing an undying popularity.

TVXQ’s new Japanese album ‘TONE’ sold over 100,000 copies on its release date of the 28th of September, the same date that JYJ released their first Korean album that sold out across the nation.
On the 29th, TVXQ’s agency SM Entertainment stated that TVXQ  topped the daily Oricon Album Charts by selling 105,484 copies of their new album ‘TONE’.

The agency stated, “There was a wide gap in sales between TVXQ’s album and other albums that were released on the same date, so we’re expecting good results from the weekly charts as well. With the album selling out in Japan’s biggest album stores as well, we’ve been receiving a lot of requests for additional orders.”

TVXQ are planning to run full steam ahead with promotions for their new album by appearing in FujiTV’s ‘Music Fair’ on the 1st of October, NHK’s ‘Music Japan’ and Nihon TV’s ‘Music Lovers’ on the 2nd, and FujiTV’s ‘SMAPxSMAP’ on the 3rd.

Meanwhile, JYJ are expected to kick up a storm in Korea as their album officially sold over 30,000 copies according to Hanteo Charts.

Album stores all over the country sold all of their stock of JYJ albums that weren’t pre-ordered. Also, special zones for JYJ’s comeback could be seen in various offline stores while a ‘JYJ only’ counter was set up in Gwanghwamun’s Hottracks, showing off their immense popularity.

A representative of the album stated, “There’s a scarcity of albums right now. All the albums that were printed on top of the 300,000 pre-ordered copies have been sold and the orders are piling up at an alarming rate.”
JYJ’s agency C-JeS Entertainment stated, “After the 300,000 pre-orders came in, we had the printing factory going at full force to print out the albums, but the initial set of 150,000 copies have sold out. We’re currently printing additional copies and we’re doing our best to restock stores across the nation by the 4th of October.”

JYJ stated, “We’re happy to see fans updating their Twitter accounts with excitement as they receive their albums,” and “We want to thank the fans who have stayed by our side and supported us and we will work hard to always provide great music to our fans.
